Goldsby Creek Story

If you have followed my work for any amount of time you know that I have a love for documenting #creekstories during the summer. In fact, I wouldn’t mind if my summer calendar was only creek stories.

Meet the Goldsby family! This is their second time documenting a part of their #familystory with a #creekstory. These siblings love the water + each-other and that is evident throughout this gallery!

 

I typically follow the lead of the child that wants to do their own thing. Mr. Finn (the youngest) just wanted to swim. So naturally he got his family in the water. Following his lead led to some special captures.

Here is what this family shared about Finn (the littlest one), “We love his strength, determination, braveness and sheer joy. Starting out his life so small and showing so much strength through everything is truly a blessing. He does not know a stranger and brings a smile to everyone he meets.”

The family shared this with me about Corbin(oldest brother), “We love how he loves people. He has no problem seeing someone in need and helping them. All through elementary school we were told how caring we way, how he would go out of his way to help anyone and he was even chose to help with the special needs teacher. That love of people will carry him far.”

They shared this about Julien (the best sister), “We love her tenacity. She has been through so much but you very rarely see her without a smile. When people let her down she finds the bright point and keeps going.”

 

I asked what feelings and thoughts came as they viewed their gallery (40+ images). AJ (mom) shared, “Viewing the gallery I felt so much love for our blended family. Getting to love on these big kids and show them how to love has been such a blessing. Seeing our family together enjoying our time, acting silly and splashing (or swimming) in the creek was what my heart needed. We have had a rough year and being able to come together and show our love through pictures is amazing.”
